National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is all set to technically assist the government in transparent disbursement of flood relief cash grant of Rs20, 000 per family by launching Watan Cards in the flood affected areas to facilitate the flood victims in getting the relief.
According to a press release issued here Thursday, NADRA Deputy Chairman Tariq Malik stated this while talking to journalists at NADRA headquarters.
He said NADRA is launching its four sites in Bhakkar, Mianwali (Punjab), Thatta (Sindh) and Badin (Sindh) and has also planned to launch multiple sites in Sindh and Punjab during Eid holidays. Baluchistan and AJK have very recently issued notifications and both the governments and provincial disaster management authorities are seeking verifications to finalise site plans. Notifications from Government of KP and Gilgit-Baltistan are still awaited.
