Chairman National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) Tariq Malik has reinstated 61 terminated employees of NADRA who were involved in strikes, after personal hearing of each case.

NADRA spokesman stated this in a statement issued here on Saturday.

He said newly appointed Chairman NADRA personally noticed the suffering of the sacked employees’ families and reinstated employees right after taking charge. He has restored them with back pay and promised they will also be regularized.

NADRA Chairman addressing reinstated employees reminded them that they are public servants and hence their job is the serve the public. Their promotions would be dependent on public feedback through media.

He made it clear that their performance will be judged in light of the citizens’ feedback, not length of service. He will move HR department to frame rules and regulations in this regard and then present it to the board of National Database and Registration Authority.

Meanwhile, NADRA employees thanked Chairman NADRA for resolving the issue and reinstating them in the month of Ramdan with the release of three month salaries which will enable them to spend Ramadan peacefully and celebrate Eid with their families.
