NADRA Helps Identify 67 Plane Crash Victims

National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has helped identified the bodies of 67 out of total 127 passengers and crew of the Bhoja Airline plane crash through its biometric identification system.

“Using our Automated Finger Identification System (AFIS) and Facial Recognition System (FRS),the authority ‘s dedicated tech-team identified 67 passengers as unfortunately hands and faces of some of the victims of air-crash tragedy were unrecognizable due to the wounds and cuts"said Tariq malik Deputy Chairman of NADRA, in a statement on Sunday.

Expressing deep sympathy with the families of tragic plane crash victims,Malik said the NADRA would go on extra mile to help identify the victims.

 

Our technical staff has been working round the clock right after the unfortunate plane crashed, and we will use all of our resources, technology and national database to identify the victims",he added .

He said all of NADRA employees are deeply aggrieved by the incident and praying to Almighty Allah to grant the departed souls a resting place in the heaven and give courage to the bereaved families to bear the loss.
